Hyundai Transys, a core automotive-systems affiliate of Hyundai Motor Group, specializes in powertrains and seating systems—enhancing safety, comfort, and mobility innovation globally . In 2022, the company launched its first U.S. facility in Montgomery, Alabama—a state-of-the-art seat assembly plant supplying major EV and automotive manufacturers, and integrating advanced in‑plant automation including autonomous mobile robots .
Our work on the Hyundai Transys Alabama facility focused on delivering a comprehensive and integrated A.S.M.E.P. design package to support the plant’s expansion and operational needs. From the initial architectural layout to detailed engineering systems, our team provided fully coordinated construction documents across all disciplines.
We developed architectural plans and details that optimized spatial layout and workflow efficiency within the manufacturing environment. Our structural design addressed load-bearing demands of assembly lines, overhead systems, and integrated robotics. The electrical plans provided for robust power distribution, lighting, and system integration to accommodate autonomous mobile robots and production machinery. Mechanical design included HVAC and ventilation systems tailored for an industrial workspace, while plumbing plans were prepared to support essential utilities, safety requirements, and facility maintenance.
By aligning our multidisciplinary designs with Hyundai Transys’s operational goals, we played a key role in supporting the growth of a world-class automotive facility—designed for performance, efficiency, and long-term adaptability in an increasingly electric and automated manufacturing landscape.
