The FBI Field Office in Jackson, Mississippi serves as a critical hub for federal law enforcement operations across the state. As part of the U.S. General Services Administration’s commitment to modernizing federal facilities, the Jackson FBI office is undergoing strategic development to support the Bureau’s mission with secure, efficient, and structurally sound infrastructure.
Our team played a key role in the early design phase of this important project, focusing on the structural integrity and foundational planning of the new FBI facility. Our scope included the production of preliminary framing and foundation drawings, accompanied by engineering calculations, typical structural details, and outline specifications tailored to the complex requirements of a secure federal installation.
A critical aspect of our work involved the identification and coordination of pre-engineered structural elements. These included steel joists, wooden trusses, precast concrete systems, proprietary earth retention structures, and other pre-engineered building components. While specified within our design, these elements were coordinated for detailed design and shop drawings by specialty engineers to ensure precision and compatibility with the overall structural framework.
By delivering a clear, code-compliant, and coordinated set of preliminary design documents, we established the foundation for a secure, efficient, and resilient facility—ready to support the operational needs of the FBI in the region for years to come.
