Sewon America is an automotive manufacturer specializing in vehicle body components, operating a 560,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Rincon, Georgia. To accommodate the installation of several new press machines, the company planned an expansion of the facility, requiring engineering design services to support the new construction and its integration with the existing building.
N-Gineers provided comprehensive architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering design services for the expansion, which added approximately 34,000 square feet of new press and finishing areas. Because the new addition was designed to connect seamlessly with the existing structure, the scope also included modifications to the existing building, including the partial demolition of existing concrete tilt-up walls. Our team also designed a new pit beneath the press machines to collect metal scrap generated during operation, connecting it to the existing scrap tunnel system by extending the current tunnels to provide a continuous scrap removal path.
