Dongjin Semichem Co., Ltd. is a global pioneer in fine and specialty chemicals, with deep roots in semiconductor and display materials—such as photoresists, CMP slurries, thinners, and wet-process chemicals—serving major electronics manufacturers around the world. With multiple production sites in Korea, China, Taiwan, and a growing U.S. presence, Dongjin is expanding its manufacturing footprint to support the critical semiconductor supply chain
As part of its strategic U.S. expansion, Dongjin Semichem initiated the development of a new chemical plant (approximately 91,000–94,000 sf) focused on producing high-purity semiconductor materials. To support this critical infrastructure, our team delivered a comprehensive civil and A.S.M.E.P. engineering design, along with permit-ready documentation.
Our contributions to the Dongjin Semichem chemical plant project encompassed both civil engineering services and full A.S.M.E.P. (Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) design and permitting. Working closely with Dongjin’s technical and operational teams, we began with the development of a comprehensive civil plan that addressed site grading, drainage, utility routing, and earthwork strategies to prepare the property for new construction.
We then delivered a fully integrated A.S.M.E.P. design package tailored to the plant’s chemical processing functions. The architectural and structural plans ensured a safe, efficient, and code-compliant facility layout, while our mechanical and electrical designs accommodated the complex requirements of chemical production, including HVAC systems for controlled environments and robust power distribution. Our plumbing design incorporated safety and containment features to support chemical handling and wastewater management.
In tandem with our design services, we managed the preparation and submission of permit-ready construction documents, ensuring compliance with local codes and environmental standards. Through coordinated design and regulatory expertise, we helped lay the foundation for Dongjin Semichem’s successful U.S. expansion and its role in reinforcing the domestic semiconductor supply chain.
